Who are we

A Nissan car inside an automotive service garage, with tires and equipment visible, and a person standing near the service area.

Where PartsTrader started

Founded in 2004 by entrepreneurial consultants in Wellington, PartsTrader enabled NZ automotive trade parts buyers to get multiple confidential quotes from suppliers online. Buyers could choose the best combination of price, delivery time, and quality.

Despite economic downturns, a passion for espresso coffee and a commitment to growth helped the company expand. In 2010, a partnership with the largest US automobile insurer led to the company splitting into PartsTrader Markets Limited (development) and PartsTrader NZ and US (market-facing functions).

Where we are today

A black classic car with its hood open in a garage, with a blue vintage car on a lift in the background, and various car parts and tools around.

PartsTrader now operates globally, supporting over 15,000 repairers and suppliers. Our easy-to-use online marketplace helps collision repairers source parts from OEM dealers, recyclers, and alternative suppliers.

With over 11 million parts ordered, we continuously enhance our offerings through agile research and development, aiming to be proactive in meeting customer needs.

We are also exploring new overseas markets, aspiring to be a global leader in the collision repair value chain. Most importantly, we focus on developing both our software and our people.
